Bespoke Nordic Kitchens

Clear and light Modern Scandinavian kitchen design to enjoy for years! Matt black details, like the tap and the lights, make it extremely modern! For some people wood is associated with the rough surfaces in rustic designs but in Scandi style natural textures of wood and stone are smooth and elegant.Combining beauty, simplicity and functionality are uniquely suited to emphasize a number of longstanding Scandinavian design features.

Classic Scandinavian Kitchen

Light wood and white seamless cabinetry of this kitchen is esspecially impresive when complimented by open shelves and modern feature lights. Sleek handle-free design and use of up-to-date materials such as engineered stone for the benchtops make Scandinavian Style kitchens trendy and appealing.

Classic Scandinavian Kitchen

Scandinavian kitchens put function first, use natural materials, and are designed to make the most of daylight. Here are the defining features:

Colour palette

  • Light base: white, soft grey, warm off-white and greige walls and cabinetry.
  • Muted accents: sage, dusty blue, clay or charcoal, used sparingly.
  • Black as a detail colour: in tapware, handles and light fittings, not across whole surfaces.

Materials

  • Light timber: oak, ash, birch or beech in natural, oiled or white-washed finishes. Oak veneer is the most common in Australia.
  • Matt surfaces: flat matt or super-matt cabinet fronts, not gloss.
  • Benchtops: pale stone or engineered stone, timber, or solid-surface material. Honed finishes are preferred over polished.
  • Natural textures: linen, wool, ceramics and handmade tiles to add warmth.

Cabinetry

  • Simple, flat fronts: slab doors, or a very fine shaker profile.
  • Minimal or no handles: finger pulls, push-to-open, or slim leather or timber pulls.
  • Mixed finishes: a common pairing is white or painted base cabinets with timber overheads or a timber island.

Layout and light

  • Uncluttered benchtops: everything has a closed home.
  • Daylight first: windows kept clear, light reflective surfaces and few heavy overheads. Open shelving is used in small doses.
  • Layered warm lighting: pendants over the island and under-cabinet LEDs. Warm white lighting is essential to the look.

Overall feel

  • Calm and practical: the space feels lived-in rather than showroom-perfect, built around everyday use and comfort.
  • Quality over quantity: fewer, better pieces that last.

Why it suits our clients

  • High-rise apartments: light colours and minimal fronts make small kitchens feel larger, and the look sits well in open-plan living.
  • Investment properties: the style is broadly appealing, which helps when leasing or selling.
  • The hardware you've been featuring: push-to-open drawers, lit drawers and hidden storage like FurnSpin all suit the clutter-free brief.
